TVS Defeats Hero To Become 2nd Largest Scooter Maker In April-Feb Period


The third largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India, TVS Motors Company has beaten Hero MotoCorp being the second largest two-wheeler seller in the country during the period of April-Februrary in the current financial year.

As per reports, TVS company sold nearly 7,43,838 units between the month of April-Februrary in this year as opposite of 7,07,884 units in the same period last year, which has shown a growth of 5.07% in its sales.

Whereas, Delhi-based Hero MotoCorp formerly known as Hero Honda, has sold around 7,19,987 units of two-wheelers during the same period as against to 7,31,967 units a year back, which indicated 1.64% down growth.
So far, in this financial year, the total sales of two-wheelers in the national market rose by 11.7% in April-February period at around 51,17,997 units as compared to its last year’s sale of 45,81,640 units.
