Ways2Capital : Idea Cellular And BHEL To Be Out Of Nifty 50 From March 31

From March 31, BHEL and Idea Cellular will move out of NSE’s Nifty 50 index. These two will be replaced with Indiabulls Housing Finance and Indian Oil Corporation. India Index Services and Product, an arm of the NSE, has announced the changes, which will be effective from March 31, 2017.

The exchange also has made changes to several indices which include Nifty Next 50, Nifty Smallcap 250, Nifty Midcacp 50, Nifty 100 and Nifty 500. Indices like metal, private bank, media, bank and commodities are the ones in which changes have been done.

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company, Petronet LNG and Rural Electrification Corporation will be included in the Nifty 100 index; whereas, Apollo Hospitals Enterprises, Bharat Forge and Castrol India will move out of the index. Nifty 500 index will include, L&T Infotech, Dilip Buildcon, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company, Mahanagar Gas, Quess Corp, Thyrocare Technologies and Future Retail among a total of 25 companies.
